Nicole's Story

Hi, for those of you who don't yet know me, I'm Nicole Slayton. By day I ply my trade as a commercial and IP in-house counsel for media and technology companies. 

 

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. I'm told it's rare to be a Native Angeleno, as most residents generally tend to be transplanted from elsewhere. Although there is much to love about my hometown, for many years I yearned to move to London, to be closer to my European roots, and to my extended family on my father's side. A little over three years ago, I was finally able to make that dream come true.

 

I am grateful each and every day that I did. London is a wonderful, cosmopolitan city. I have made great friends who hail from near and far. I spend irreplaceable, treasured time with my cousins. Most important, it is here that I have met Eamonn, the love of my life, with whom I share so much, including an appreciation for this great city, for all it has to offer and of our blessed life together here.

Our Story (according to Nicole)

 

No doubt, Eamonn's version will be far different than mine! We first met for drinks on Saturday, 13th December, 2014. It may sound cliché, but it was one of those dates where you feel like you've known one another forever, laugh a lot (thanks Janine!), and lose track of time. We forgot to eat dinner because we were having such a good time, and Eamonn just barely made the last train home.

Hi. Can I first say I agree. 

 

I'm Eamonn, husband of Nicole. For those of you who don't know me I'm a lawyer too. I grew up in Hereford, England with my older brother Jeremy who was best man on the day.

​

As my name implies my heritage is from Ireland. Mum, Agnes, is from Kells in County Meath and my Dad, Patrick, is from a small town in the County of Limerick. In fact, it was on a trip to Dublin (and shortly after visiting the Book of Kells) that we got engaged.
